Your dog deserves the best

Tinkle Time Treks N’ Trails primary goal is to address issues that have been plaguing the dog walking industry for years. Because the industry is largely unregulated, you may not always be given the best standard of care for your dog. We go above and beyond to ensure the health and safety of your beloved dog at all times. The business of dog walking fills a growing market, and has exploded over the last decade. This is great, but I believe that simply loving dogs is not enough. You need an experienced professional that you can count on. In our almost 13 years of professional pet care experience, we have seen it all. Whether it be a medical condition, behavioral issue or anything else, we will do my best to offer my expertise to your family. We will approach each situation from a place of honesty, respect and non-judgement.

Safety First

With Treks N’ Trails, you can rest assured that your dog is in competent and experienced hands. From the moment they are picked up until they are dropped back off at home, tired and content, their health and safety will be our first priority.

Hundreds of pet parents have trusted us to provide safe and fun care for their dogs. We have worked with almost every breed, big and small! We have experience with a wide array of medical concerns, as well as behavioural issues such as leash reactivity, separation anxiety, and resource guarding.

The relationships we form with ourclients and their pets are at the heart of what makes us successful. We recognize that caring for your family pet is a privilege that comes with great responsibility, and we continually strive to offer an experience that promotes their well-being, and your peace of mind.

Meet our Treks N’ Trails Pack Walk Leader – Avril Schryvers

Hi! My name is Avril Schryvers! Prior to working with Tinkle Time, I lived in Vancouver, where I was a professional dog walker for 10 years. I started up my own company in White Rock almost 6 years ago, which I left to my long time employee when I decided to move to Alberta. I have been in the pet care industry since 2007, and I have worked in boarding kennels, dog daycares, grooming shops, pet stores, and for two other dog walking companies before starting my own. I also have many years of volunteer experience with the Richmond Animal Protection Society, RAPS Cat Sanctuary, Greyhaven Exotic Bird Sanctuary as well as Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue (VOKRA), which I was a long term foster for. I am fully trained in pet first aid and CPR through Walks ‘N’ Wags, and I have been through the veterinary assistant program at Granville College.

I share my life with my two rescue dogs, Zoe and Denim (both mixed-breed mutts), and the sweetest kitty ever, Blueberry. They are my whole world. I understand the anxiety that can come with leaving your pets in someone else’s hands, because I have been there myself. From that perspective, I model my practices to care for my client’s pets just as I do my own – with my entire heart and soul.
